Secure e-mail

 

In order to comply with HIPAA regulations and provide a secure method to electronically transmit sensitive information to our trusted external partners, Essent Healthcare and our hospital affiliates have deployed a data encryption solution from PostX.

 

If you are receiving an encrypted message from Essent for the first time, you will receive an e-mail that asks you to enroll with our system by completing an online form.  The subject line of the enrollment notification e-mail will read, "Essent Healthcare - Secure e-mail Enrollment Notification".  Inside the message there will be a link to the enrollment form.  When this one-time registration process is completed successfully, you may now open encrypted messages from Essent.

 

When an encrypted message is sent to you, you will receive an e-mail with a file attached named "securemail.html".  When you open the attachment you will be taken to a web page where you will be asked to authenticate using the credentials that you created during the enrollment process.

 

Once authenticated, you will now be able to view the contents of the message.  By pressing the "Secure Reply" button within the message you may send an encrypted response, including attachments, to the original sender.

 

If you have forgotten the password that you generated during the enrollment process, you may click here to change it.
